Product Description
๐๏ธ The SaeboStretch Dynamic Resting Hand Splint is a revolutionary orthotic developed for individuals with neurological injuries such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, or spinal cord injury. Unlike static splints, this device uses patented dynamic hand plates that flex as tone increases, and return the fingers to extension when tone decreasesโpreventing joint damage, reducing pain, and improving hand alignment.
๐ช Ideal for clients with minimal to moderate spasticity, the SaeboStretch is backed by neurological research supporting high-repetition grasp-and-release therapy. It helps combat the effects of disuse, such as clawing, tight fists, and joint deformities.
Key Features
- ๐ ๏ธ Patented stretch technology โ Allows controlled, safe finger extension with 3 dynamic plates of varying resistance
- ๐ฏ Customisable fit โ Malleable wrist and thumb mount for precise anatomical alignment
- ๐งค Pro-grade strapping system โ Proprietary strapping design ensures secure and ergonomic positioning
- ๐ง Non-slip soft cover โ Comfortable, machine-washable, and anti-microbial for hygiene and all-day wear
- ๐ Built-in recovery support โ Encourages cortical plasticity by supporting active hand use throughout the day
- ๐ฆ Try risk-free at home โ 30-day trial with free returns, no questions asked
Use Cases
- ๐ Ideal for stroke survivors with mild to moderate tone in the affected hand and fingers
- ๐ Recommended for neuro patients experiencing hand flexion or clawing post-injury
- ๐ Perfect for passive extension support without fully immobilising the joints
- ๐ Used in therapy or at home to aid grasp/release training, spasticity reduction and muscle memory recovery
- ๐ Clinically suitable for patients who can lay their affected hand flat on a surface (palm down)
Size Guide
๐ Measure across the proximal phalanges (just below finger knuckles) with the hand flat.
- ๐ Small (S): 2.25" โ 2.75" (approx. 5.7 โ 7.0 cm)
- ๐ Medium (M): 2.75" โ 3.25" (7.0 โ 8.2 cm)
- ๐ Large (L): 3.25" โ 4.0" (8.2 โ 10.0 cm)
- ๐ XS / XXS also available โ for smaller hand widths starting at 1.75"
Safety & Patient Criteria
- โ You feel some stiffness/resistance when opening your fingers with your other hand
- โ You can place your affected hand flat on a table, palm down
- โ ๏ธ Not suitable for individuals with tightly clenched fists or severe fixed contractures
Therapistโs Tip ๐ก
"Use it or lose it!" โ The SaeboStretch encourages hand use and repetition, helping retrain the brain after injury. Incorporate into daily routines and therapy to maximise plasticity and reduce tone over time.
๐งผ Cleaning: Remove cover and hand wash or machine wash gently with mild detergent. Air dry completely before reusing.
