The SaeboGlove is a cutting edge, low-profile functional glove that assists with thumb and finger extension for clients with neurologic and orthopedic impairments. It has an innovative design that features a spiral forearm splint that secures the wrist in a functional position. Various sized extension assist tensioners are located at the IP joints for all digits and assist with extending the fingers and thumb following grasping. The palm is exposed to increase breathability and ease for donning.

Whether you’re rehabilitating from a stroke, neurological condition, or hand injury, the SaeboGlove is your ultimate companion for restoring hand function and regaining control.
• Sometimes referred to as a smart glove or robot glove, the SaeboGlove is designed to unlock your brain’s neuroplasticity—the ability to rewire itself after injury—by facilitating every day, purposeful movements.
• Whether it’s grabbing a glass of water, picking up the TV remote, or twisting a doorknob, the SaeboGlove can help you more easily regain arm and hand function and get back into your daily routine.

• Its lightweight and flexible design ensures a comfortable fit, while the individually adjustable finger supports allow you to personalize the level of resistance to promote targeted and effective hand recovery
• Strategically placed elastic bands are how this glove assists in finger extension and flexion (grasping and releasing), actively promoting range of motion and strengthening your hand muscles
• The proprietary tension system extends the fingers and thumb after grasping so you can engage your affected limb for task-specific training.

INDICATIONS

• The SaeboGlove is designed for individuals who have experienced a neurological injury such as a stroke or orthopedic injury such as radial nerve palsy
• Clients who demonstrate arm and hand weakness (wrist drop/unable to open hand) and are unable to use their affected hand to perform everyday tasks are great candidates for this device.
• The onset of the injury does not prevent someone from receiving Saebo treatment. Whether the client just had a stroke or orthopedic injury, or if they suffered an injury years ago, the SaeboGlove can be of great benefit.
• A licensed therapist will evaluate the client to make sure he or she meets the criteria before starting.
• To qualify for the SaeboGlove, a client must be able to close or squeeze their hand minimally. In addition, they must have minimal to no tightness or spasticity in the fingers or wrist.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Clients who may not be appropriate for the SaeboGlove typically exhibit one or more of the following:

• Severe joint deformities in the hand or elbow.
• Significant arthritis.
• Mild to moderate tightness/spasticity or greater in the hand or elbow.
• Moderate or severe swelling in the hand.
• Open wounds.
• Inability to follow basic commands.
• Latex Warning: This product contains natural rubber latex, which may cause an allergic reaction.
